If so, the fourth grade teachers need YOUR help!
One of the first Social Studies activities that we will work on this year involves homemade play dough. We need LOTS of fourth graders to make play dough at home with their parents and bring it in to school the first week.
Recipe for Homemade Play Dough
1C flour
1/4 C salt
1 tbsp vegetable oil
2 tbsp cream of tartar
2 tsp food coloring
1 C water
Mix flour, salt and cream of tartar in a medium pot. Add water, food coloring, and oil. Stir over medium heat for 3-5 minutes. Don't worry if it looks like a globby mess--it turns to dough. When the mixture forms a ball in the center of the pot, take it out and put it on a floured surface. Knead the dough for a little while. When finished, put it in a plastic, air tight bag and store in the refrigerator.
*** Please Make a Double Batch of BLUE, GREEN, or BROWN***
Please bring play dough to school by Thursday, August 18th.
Thank you!!!!!!
